Policies
To provide you and your pets with exceptional service, we have put in place the following policies.
Payment
- Payments for walking or sitting services are to be paid in full upon completion. We accept Visa/MasterCard/Discover, personal check and cash.
Regular monthly dog-walking clients will be billed on the first of each month following delivery of service, and the balance owed charged to
their credit card on file. Credit card authorization forms will be provided at registration.
Payment is due upon receipt. If payment is not received within 45 days, a $20 late fee will be charged to your account. In addition, a $20 fee
will be charged for all returned checks. We reserve the right to discontinue services for any client with an outstanding invoice exceeding 46 days.
Cancellations
- 24-hour notice of cancellation prior to the date of a scheduled mid-day visit as well as overnight visit. Any cancellations made after 7:00 am
on the day of a scheduled service or series of services will be non-refundable. You can leave a voicemail message prior to 7:00 am the day of the visit.
All remaining paid services will be given a credit and can be used for future services.
Holiday Payments and Cancellations: All reservations for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's must be paid in full at booking. Cancellations two
weeks prior to first visit will be 50% refundable for entire schedule and will be given a credit that can be used for future services. Cancellations
one week prior to first visit are 25% refundable for entire schedule and will be given a credit that can be used for future services. Cancellations
with less than one week's notice will be non-refundable.
Termination of Mid-Day Dog walking: Please provide us with a full 5-day notice in the event mid-day service is no longer needed.
Holiday Charge
- Holiday surcharge fees will be applied to the following holidays:

- The surcharge fees will be $6.00 per
mid-day walk or kitty visit for services performed on a holiday, and a $10.00 surcharge per night for pet sitting services.
Household Emergencies
- When completing the client profile form, please be sure to provide the name and number of a trusted maintenance company or a person you can rely on to attend to any househ
old emergencies that may arise during your absence. This includes, but is not limited to, leaking pipes, malfunctioning water heaters and air units.
Keys
- During the initial consult and registration meeting, you will be expected to provide your pet care provider with one set of your house keys. The pet care provider will make a copy of the keys. The pet sitter will keep the original set, and the copy will be retained at our office
for emergency back-up purposes. The name(s) of your pet(s) will be used to tag the keys so that, if misplaced, your security will not be in jeopardy.
The majority of our clients permit us to retain the keys on file for future assignments. If you prefer that we return the keys to you following each assignment, we will do so. Please note that the next time
you request our services, and a pet care provider is asked to retrieve your house keys, a pick-up fee of $20 will be applied to your invoice.
Inclement Weather
- In the event of inclement weather, our pet care providers will contact you to discuss the weather, condition of roads in your neighborhood and the
need to make alternate plans. Your pet's health and well-being is our utmost concern, and we will contact you as soon as possible should we need to
cancel our services for the day.
In general, all dogs will be required to be on leash during outdoor walks. Off-leash requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Returning Home/Call-in
- " We ask that you call us upon return to let us know that you have arrived home safely. If, for any reason, you are unable to return at the expected time and/or day, we will schedule additional visits to make sure that your pet(s) are looked after until you return. However, please understand that we carefully schedule our time to service
you and our other clients. Therefore, we may have to charge an additional fee for a late afternoon visit, evening walk or additional overnight.
Special Requets
- Some of our clients ask that we phone or email them on the first night of a pet sitting assignment or at pre-determined times with a brief update on how their pets are doing.
We are more than happy to do this so please let us know if you would like to hear from your pet care provider during your time away.
Vaccinations/Immunizations
- Vaccinations/Immunizations: we require that all pets have the necessary vaccinations and immunizations before service begins. We may ask to see expiration dates for rabies vaccinations.
Privacy
- All of your information will be kept private and confidential. We appreciate your entrusting us with the care of your pets and home. We do recommend that you inform a trusted neighbor that while you are away, we will be caring for your pets and your home.
